Episode 49 – Just A Memory Scarred

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my honor to have you here for Episode 49!  One short of the big 50th episode, which features a very special guest.

This week lots of great tunes for you as always!

Hour 1 – This show opens with a short lived but amazing band called Badlands!  Their single “Dreams In The Dark” showcases the amazing guitar of Jake E. Lee and powerhouse voice of Ray Gillan.  I also have Whitesnake, with a B-side from the ’87 self-tittle record, but a track that did make the album overseas.  And the opening block closes with a track from Twenty 4 Seven.  Cage the Gods continue the rock with another new tune from their debut, followed by Ugly Kid Joe (future guest Whitfield Crane on Vocals), and another track from Vanderberg’s Moonkings. I have a great block of Australian rock bands at the bottom of the hour featuring Massive, Twenty Two Hundred, and The Delta Riggs, and the hour closes with an incredible song from The Temperance Movement, one of the best new bands to come along in years.

Hour 2 – The Cult’s comeback album BEYOND GOOD & EVIL is one of my favorite records of the 90’s and a great rock album, their song “Take The Power” opens the hour.  Sebastian Bach did an incredible interview recently, calling out the short comings of social media and rock fans, and he also has an incredible new CD out that you should all hear.  It is the best thing he has done since leaving Skid Row, and it shows how much power he has left in the tank.  More new music from Black Star Riders, Halestorm, Winery Dogs, Bad Barber, and Walking Papers fill in the hour, along with some great tracks from Van Halen, ZZ Top, and The Tygers Of Pan Tang.
